About This Position

Position Overview The Aerial Lineman – Utility Construction is responsible for building, installing, maintaining, and repairing aerial telephone systems and related utility infrastructure, including both aerial and underground facilities. The Aerial Lineman works closely with customers, utility owners, governmental officials, supervisors, and field crews to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to customer and industry specifications. This position also provides leadership, supervision, training, and mentoring to Groundmen and other employees assigned to the crew. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Plan and initiate aerial utility construction projects as directed. Build, install, maintain, and repair aerial telephone systems and related utility infrastructure. Assist with the construction of new aerial and underground services and service upgrades. Interact professionally with customers, utility owners, governmental officials, inspectors, supervisors, and other project representatives. Establish and maintain compliance with OSHA, customer, company, and industry safety requirements. Conduct and participate in daily and weekly pre-job safety discussions with crew members. Supervise Groundmen and other employees assigned to the crew. Train, mentor, and provide guidance to new employees assigned to jobs. Provide direction to Groundmen regarding daily work activities, safety procedures, tools, equipment, and job-site expectations. Perform tree trimming and route clearing as required for utility construction activities. Properly use, maintain, and care for specialized hand tools. Operate, maintain, and properly care for required vehicles, tools, and equipment. Safely operate heavy equipment, including digger derricks and bucket trucks, when trained and authorized. Ensure work is performed according to applicable construction specifications, safety requirements, and customer standards. Monitor crew activities to ensure projects remain on schedule and meet quality and productivity expectations. Ensure all tools and equipment assigned to the job are properly maintained. Assist with emergency outage response and restoration activities as required. Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with customers and project partners. Represent PUSH Incorporated in a professional and positive manner at all times. Identify opportunities to improve work processes, safety, productivity, and overall operations. Perform other duties as assigned.
