Account information: name, email, phone number, password, and account type (Prime Contractor, Sub-Contractor, Individual Skilled Laborer, or Recruiter).

Profile information: company details, equipment and capability data, skills, certifications, availability, service area, and any photos, videos, or documents you upload (insurance certificates, equipment photos, resumes, references).

Location information: city, state, and geocoded coordinates you or your company provide, used to power search, distance filtering, and map display.

Messages: content you send through CrewNation’s messaging system, including text, attachments, and shared locations.

Payment information: subscription and billing details are processed by Stripe; CrewNation does not store full payment card numbers.

Usage and device information: pages visited, actions taken, browser and device type, and IP address, collected automatically to operate and improve the service.

To operate the marketplace: matching contractors, crews, workers, and recruiters based on the capability, location, and availability data in your profile.

To facilitate communication between users, including messages, notifications, and application updates.

To verify insurance, background checks, and equipment where you’ve submitted them for review.

To process subscriptions and payments.

To send service-related emails (account activity, applications, messages, verification updates), and — where you’ve opted in — product updates.

To maintain platform safety, investigate abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service.

With other users, as the core function of the marketplace: your public profile (company info, capabilities, equipment, reviews, availability) is visible to the account types the platform is designed to connect you with, and some crew profiles are publicly viewable without an account.

With service providers who help us operate the platform: hosting and database infrastructure, authentication, payments (Stripe), email (Resend), file storage, and analytics — each bound by their own data-processing obligations to us.

When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of CrewNation, our users, or the public.

We do not sell your personal information.

We retain account and profile data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we retain limited records as required for legal, tax, dispute-resolution, or platform-integrity purposes, and delete or anonymize the rest within a reasonable period.

You can access, correct, or delete most of your profile information directly from your account settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR (EEA/UK) or CCPA (California), including the right to request a copy of your data, request deletion, or object to certain processing. Contact us using the details below to exercise these rights.

You can opt out of non-essential marketing email at any time; service-related messages (e.g., application updates) may still be sent while you have an active account.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the platform is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect core functionality like staying logged in.

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security on our database — to protect your information. No system is completely secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.

CrewNation is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
