CAT Mini Excavator Models

Cat marks its compact radius machines with a CR suffix — Cat says the upper structure stays within the width of the tracks, so the machine can swing next to obstacles. Cat's releases describe the models by weight class: the 301.7 CR is a 1.7-tonne machine and the 302 CR a 2.0-tonne one, and Cat calls the current range its Next Generation mini excavators, with a shared control layout.
